Who is the writer?

“A writer is a world trapped in a person.” –Victor Hugo

Hi, I’m Carissa––I’m from San Diego and I currently live in LA. I am an ambassador of the Lord’s grace, and I’m merely a redeemed sinner writing and living for her King. May Christ be magnified, His name exalted, and His gospel proclaimed through Pure Soliloquy.

I am here to testify of Him who has called me out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Pet. 2:9).

“But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24

  1. The final goal of the blessed life, moreover, rests in the knowledge of God. Lest anyone, then, be excluded from access to happiness, He not only sowed in men’s minds that seed of religion of which we have spoken but revealed Himself and daily discloses Himself in the whole workmanship of the universe. As a consequence, men cannot open their eyes without being compelled to see Him. Indeed, His essence is incomprehensible; hence, His divineness far escapes all human perception….And since the glory of His power and wisdom shine more brightly above, heaven is often called His palace. Yet, in the first place, wherever you cast your eyes, there is no spot in the universe wherein you cannot discern at least some sparks of His glory. You cannot in one glance survey this most vast and beautiful system of the universe, in its wide expanse, without being completely overwhelmed by the boundless force of its brightness.

  2. “The godly heart feels in itself a division because it is partly imbued with sweetness from its recognition of the divine goodness, partly grieves in bitterness from the awareness of its calamity; partly rests upon the promises of the gospel, partly trembles at the evidence of its own iniquity; partly rejoices at the expectation of life, partly shudders at death. This variation arises from imperfection of faith, since in the course of the present life it never goes so well with us that we are wholly cured of the disease of unbelief and entirely filled and possessed by faith.”

From your quirky personality to your intellectual viewpoint, you are a blessing to this world, a beacon of faith; you put into words what many cannot verbalize or write. In addition, you exude ambition and eloquence in your writing. I can’t wait to see where your talent will take you in the years to come. I am forever your biggest fan!
